Overview
A traceability and recall program is one of the few SQF requirements your auditor will actually test during the audit. Your mock recall must demonstrate that you can trace product forward and backward through your supply chain within four hours. If your records are incomplete, your templates are blank, or your recall team does not know their roles, that test will fail. This bundle gives you the system to pass it.
What Is Included?
- SQF 2.6.1 Product Identification Procedures

- SQF 2.6.2 Product Trace Procedures
- A documented traceability procedure covering your methodology for tracing raw materials forward to finished product and finished product back to raw material inputs, including the scope, frequency, and record requirements for your annual traceability test.
- SQF 2.6.3 Product Withdrawal and Recall Procedures
- A fully documented withdrawal and recall procedure covering your site’s process for initiating, executing, and closing a product recall or withdrawal, including regulatory notification requirements, customer communication, and disposition of affected product.
- Batch Record Template
- A structured production batch record capturing lot identification, raw material inputs, processing parameters, and finished product output to support forward and backward traceability across your production runs.
- Receiving Record Template
- A receiving record capturing supplier information, lot codes, quantities, and inspection results for all incoming raw materials, ingredients, and packaging to anchor the upstream end of your traceability chain.
- Shipping Record Template
- A shipping record capturing customer information, product details, lot codes, and quantities dispatched to anchor the downstream end of your traceability chain and support rapid product location during a recall.
- Product Label Reconciliation Template
- A label reconciliation record covering labels issued, used, and destroyed per production run, meeting the SQF requirement for documented label control and supporting accurate product identification during a recall event.
- Mock Recall Template
- A structured mock trace and mock recall exercise template that walks your team through a simulated recall event, documents the results, calculates your traceability percentage, and captures corrective actions for any gaps identified, meeting the annual SQF mock recall requirement.
